RESOURCES CONNECTION ENHANCES ITS CHICAGO PRESENCE WITH THE APPOINTMENT OF A SENIOR HIRE

Chicago, IL, May 25, 2004--Resources Connection, Inc. (NASDAQ: RECN), a global professional services firm, today announced the expansion of its Chicago practice through the promotion of Ross Mesquita to Director of the Supply Chain Management Practice. Previously, Mr. Mesquita was based in our Houston office as the Director of Business Development for the service line.

“Ross brings to the Chicago practice expertise in supply-chain management, business development, strategy formulation and a hands-on, senior-level focus,” said Chris Hagler, Mid-West Regional Managing Director for Resources Connection. “He represents the top level talent and expertise to lead and grow the supply chain management service line in the Chicago region.”

In his new role, Ross Mesquita will develop and lead the Supply Chain Management Practice in the Chicago-area market, including setting strategic direction, developing client relationships, hiring Associates for project based assignments, and driving business development efforts.

Ross has over 10 years of financial and supply chain management experience. Prior to joining Resources in 2002, Mr. Mesquita worked for DealBench LLC, a wholly owned Enron company that facilitated the completion of complex transactions via the web. He led DealBench’s Auctions/RFQ module and was responsible for developing its marketing strategy, guiding product development, managing auction events and generating new business opportunities. Prior to joining Enron, Mr. Mesquita spent over four years as a commercial banker at Bank One Texas N.A. and also worked at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).

Mr. Mesquita has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and a BBA from Southern Methodist University.
